Message from the Chairman

"Shinjuku Convention&Visitors Bureau"was established to boost Shinjuku beyond the fields of locals and companies by gathering all the cooperation of Shinjuku in April 2014。

As a city, Shinjuku-ku embraces and accepts abundant diversity. There are many attractive areas within the Ward. We have the area around Shinjuku Station,which is known as a huge terminal and a commercial cluster district,"Nishi-Shinjuku,"a business district with a lot of skyscrapers,"Kabuki-cho,"one of the world's largest entertainment districts,and other areas such as"Yotsuya,""Ushigome-Kagurazaka,""Takadanobaba,""Okubo,"and"Ochiai."In addition,litterateurs and artists from the Showa,Taisho,and Meiji era spent their time in this city. For example, there were Soseki Natsume, Yagumo Koizumi, Fumiko Hayashi, and Yuzo Saeki. Thus, Shinjuku-ku has been coloured by its tangible/intangible cultural heritages, the local dyeing and printing industries, and memories of its historically good old times.

Today, it still attracts many people and has been blessed with the bustling and the vitality.

In order to be developed as a city filled with creativity continuously, we would like to enhance the attractions of Shinjuku further.

We are going to make an international tourist city by gathering all the power of Shinjuku. Thus, we would like you to agree with the idea and become our member.
